What to expect on your first visit

 

Brief Paperwork 

Upon entering the office, you will be asked to fill out brief paperwork.  This  paperwork provides us with general information about you and your condition.

Consultation

Once the paperwork is completed, you will have a consultation with Dr. Blosiu to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. 

History and Examination 

After a thorough consultation with the doctor you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable  information regarding your condition so he may have a better understanding of  how he will be able to help you. If necessary, the doctor may refer you for xrays or additional testing procedures.

Same Day Treatment

If we have accepted your case for care, we will begin your first treatment during this same visit. This treatment may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy modalities, and/or soft tissue therapies to  begin the healing process as quickly as possible. 

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
